Shallow depth of field can be beautiful. But the problem with such a focus is that the real focus can be hard to find in the view finder. Magic lantern can assist in finding the focus.

The focus can be found easily with the function focus assist. This is very helpful when doing video from a short distance. I used my Revuenon 55mm f/1.4 to shoot some video snippets. Watch my children entertaining themselves on a quiet afternoon.
