You know it might be time to change the lens, if… (continued)

I wish I could say that I was sitting and updating the ideas for photography projects. But I just finished washing the dishes and because I had not made any shot today looked at the shots from yesterday.

I found the one picture I wanted to publish, which was initially the reason to change the lens again. I love the 50mm 1,8!

Two vanishing points

You know it might be time to change the lens, if…

…you have the impression you reached a point where you do not learn new things with the lens you use at the moment.

Maybe there is also a time for changing the point of view. It does not really matter. I had the 50mm/1.8 on my camera for a longer time. I need a change.

A walk in 50mm (1)

It is said that it is a good thing for a photographer to use prime lenses. The funny thing is that I was planning on doing something absolute different, which is another project.

What is so different when using a prime lense? The difference lies not only in the elimination of the variable zoom. It is also the emphasis on the composition of the picture and the variables DOF (depth of field), focus, aperture and shutter speed.

Finally you will realize that the zoom is still there. Your legs and arms are the zoom.
